Working with Your WETE Representative

15 Jun 2011

teamworkYou will have been contacted by your local English Language Consultant/Provider introducing Workplace English Training E-Platform (WETE) to your company. They will be acting as your WETE representative.

Below is some information to explain what your WETE representative can offer you:

The Sales Process

  • Your WETE representative will contact you and supply you with information about the E-Platform and a sample proposal.
  • A face-to-face or online meeting is then arranged to demonstrate the E-Platform and answer any questions you may have.
  • Your company will then be given Free Trial of the E-Platform, so you can thoroughly test it and ensure that it meets the learning needs of your staff. You will also be given a more detailed proposal which includes a detailed quote for your company.
  • If the product is deemed suitable for your company, you will then be sent a Usage Agreement to sign and return to your WETE representative, who will then send you an invoice for payment.
  • Your WETE representative will then issue you a Username and Password for you to distribute to your staff.

Renewing your Subscription

  • Your WETE representative will stay in regular contact with your company throughout the subscription period to handle any queries related to the E-Platform.
  • Two months before your corporate subscription expires, your WETE representative will contact you and provide you with:
    - Comprehensive Usage Statistics for your company covering the previous 10 months.

    - An Online Evaluation Questionnaire where your staff can provide their own evaluation of the E-Platform. The results of which will then be consolidated and sent to your company for review.

    - A new Usage Agreement with the Subscription quote for the next year.

Technical Support

If you have any technical queries regarding the E-Platform, please visit the Technical Support page. DO NOT CONTACT YOUR WETE AGENT for technical support issues.

First you should check the Knowledge Base. If you can’t find an answer to your query there, you should submit a ticket and you will be given an answer within 24 hours.

  • FORMAL LEARNING

If you are serious about improving your business English, then you should select a formal Learning Path.

If you know your business English level, we’ll be able to direct you to suitable content to learn. You can work your way through a series of Business English Courses, create your own Learning Path or learn topics relevant to your job (Job-Specific Learning Maps).

If you don’t know your business English level, take our Business English Level Test. At the end of the test you’ll be given a benchmark level (1-6) and a report detailing what you can do in terms of business English at that level.

Once you know your level, you can choose to do the following:

  1. Take an online Business English Course (Business Speaking or Business Writing Levels 1 - 4); or
  2. Create your own Learning Path by selecting the topics at your level you’d like to focus on.

If you’d like to focus only on the topics most relevant to your work, go to the Job-Specific Learning Maps. Select your job title and follow the links to the relevant topics for that job type.
