Dear Subscribers Welcome to Workplace English Training Volume 51 . Why not use the E-Platform to improve your pronunciation? The best way to do this is to make use of the built-in audio recorder which you can see at the bottom of every screen page. The first time you use the recorder, you’ll be asked to download and install the necessary software on your computer. Just follow the link and the on-screen instructions. Once the software is installed, you’ll be able to listen to any audio file in the current or past volumes, record your own voice and then compare it with the original recording. It’s best to practice using very short sections of text. You’ll also notice that the same voice recorder is built into the Flash exercises. It takes a long time and a lot of practice to see a real improvement in your pronunciation. Keep practicing until you get the right pronunciation. And don’t forget that stress and intonation are just as important as pronunciation in terms of how well someone can understand you. Make sure you practice these elements at the same time.
