Hi Dear,
Please tell me if "Congratulations to our colleagues on their new appointments." is correct. OR "Congratulations to our colleagues in their new positions." is more appropriate?

Your first sentence is correct as when using the word 'congratulations' it should be followed by the preposition 'on' and then a noun or noun phrase.
