I came across the following exercise.
1. The belt is the same color as the coat.
2. The belt has the same color as the coat.
The first one was claimed to be right. I was wondering whether the solution was correct.

Please note that we use “be”, not “have”, to talk about color as well as size, shape, age, height, weight, and length (see Michael Swan's Practical English Usage from Oxford; it's item #91 BE and HAVE in the 1995 version).
