I would like to know how to select "a" or "an" in abbreviated words, like we use "an LC".
Is that any rules for selection "a" or "an" with single letters. Like (I don't know if it is correct), "Please use "an A" to indicate if you agree; otherwise please use"a N".

Whether to use 'a' or 'an' before a noun depends on whether the first syllable of the noun sounds like a vowel (a,e,i,o,u).
