  • How can I subscribe to the E-Platform?

    You can subscribe to Workplace English Training E-Platform using the online subscription form.

    Subscription Options:

    • 6-month
    • 12-month

    Each membership type is a recurring subscription, meaning that at the end of the subscription period it will be automatically renewed unless cancelled before the expiry date.

    Type in a coupon code (from advertising) if you have one, then click 'Continue.'

    Payment Methods:

    • PayPal (for those who would like to use their PayPal account)
    • Stripe (for credit card payments)
    • Alipay (the most popular payment method in China)

  • What is a corporate subscription to the E-Platform and how long does it run for?

    With a corporate subscription, all staff locally or regionally can access the E-Platform anywhere, anytime.


    Some companies decide to pay for a fixed number of users instead.


    Corporate subscriptions run for 1 year and need to be renewed annually.


    We offer companies a number of subscription options to meet their specific needs and we'd be happy to discuss this with you.

  • How can we access the member's area of the E-Platform?

    You can access Workplace English Training E-Platform at:
    www.workplace-english-training.com/emagazine/

     

    At the top right hand corner of the page, you will see the above login box. Type in the Username and Password given to you.

     

    If you are a corporate user, after logging in, you will be required to login for a second time with your real name. You will see the secondary login screen.

    First- time users must register first.

    • Type in your real name and email address.
    • Choose a Username and Password that you’ll be able to remember easily.
    • Verify your Password
    • Register.

     

    The next time you login, go to ‘User Login’ and type in your Username and Password, then click ‘Continue.’

     

    If you lose or forget your Username or Password, click on the relevant link. Your details will be emailed to you.

     

    If you are a corporate user, registering will allow your HR/Training Manager to monitor and track staff staff usage of the E-Platform.

  • What are the minimum technical requirements to run Workplace English Training E-Platform?

    To be able to view Workplace English Training E-platform you will require:

     

    • Windows XP, Vista, 7
    • A modern Web browser
  • How much does it cost to subscribe to Workplace English Training E-Platform? Are there any discounts?

    We offer three subscription options. The prices are:

    • 6-month: $11/month (minimum subscription period 6 months)
    • 12-month: $7/month (minimum subscription period 12 months)

    If you have a coupon code from our advertising you are entitled to a discount on the above prices. Just type in the coupon code in the relevant box in the online subscription form.

  • How can our company subscribe to the E-Platform?

    The E-Platform is available by annual corporate subscription.


    We will contact you and supply you with information about the E-Platform including a sample proposal.


    To see a sample proposal please click on either of these two links: WETE Proposal (pdf format)  or WETE Proposal (pps slide show)


    A face-to-face or online meeting is then arranged to demonstrate the E-Platform and answer any questions you may have.


    If the product is deemed suitable to your company, we will send you a usage agreement to sign and return. When we have received your signed usage agreement, we will send you an invoice for payment.


    Finally, you will then be issued with a username and password and User Guides for you to distribute to your staff.


    Staff will use username and password on the 1st login screen. Then each staff can choose their own username and password to set up a sub-account. We can track usage of all sub-accounts.

  • Which software programs do we need to use all the features of the E-Platform?

    Workplace English Training E-Platform has been in development over a number of years. As a result, for some of the older content will require you to have specific software programs installed on your PC.

     

    In particular, we have embedded a number of different mp3 players in the lessons.

     

    To view all the features of the E-Platform you will require the following software:

     

     

    WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER (plays mp3 files)

     

     

    ADOBE ACROBAT READER (opens PDF files)

     

     

    JAVASCRIPT (up-to-date Javascript software is needed to display certain pages)

  • Where do I Start?

    Workplace English Training E-Platform is one of the world's leading online resources for learning business English. The site includes hundreds of speaking, writing, reading and vocabulary lessons, as well as other learning resources and reference material. The difficulty for new users is knowing where to start.

  • What are the payment methods?

  • Can we get a Free Corporate Trial to the E-Platform?

    We encourage companies to take a free trial of the E-Platform, so they can thoroughly test it and ensure that it meets the learning needs of their staff.

     

    If you are interested in a free trial, please contact us. One of our representatives will then call you to discuss your trial. 

  • What is the Content Showcase and what is its purpose?

    You’ll find the Content Showcase on the main page of the site or by clicking on the ‘Content Showcase’ menu button.

    Each month, we change the articles in the Content Showcase.

     

    The purpose of the Content Showcase is to give learners who haven’t explored the Learning Centrean idea of the type and range of content included in the site.

     

    Users will need to login to access articles from the Content Showcase.

  • How do I renew or cancel my subscription?

    We use a recurrent billing system. This means that your subscription will be automatically renewed at the lowest price available at the time of renewal. It will cost no more than the price you paid before.


    One month before the expiry of your subscription you will be reminded of this by email and you may cancel the automatic renewal at that time from your Membership Information page.

  • Which staff would benefit from using the E-Platform?

    The E-Platform is designed for adult learners who have an English language level between elementary and upper-intermediate, and who need to use English at work.


    All exercises are graded
    according to the ALTE methodology https://www.alte.org/


    The E-Platform works particularly well for learners who are dedicated and self-motivated in self-improvement.


    The E-Platform is an invaluable resource for staff
    that require English for specific purposes on demand, or for those who want to supplement existing business English training programs.


    The E-Platform will benefit
    managers and executives, in particular, who spend a lot of time proofing and correcting documents. Managers can use the E-Platform to develop their staffs writing competency.

  • How can I view/print offline worksheets and transcripts from the site?

    VIEWING AND PRINTING PDF FILES

     

    You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open, view and print out all offline worksheets, study notes, functional language lists, flashcards and transcripts associated with the interactive lessons

    VIEWING AND PRINTING MICROSOFT WORD DOCUMENTS

     

    You will need Microsoft Word to open, view and print out all the 1500+ documents included in the Download Centre.

  • How can we subscribe to your free newsletters?

    To access the newsletters subscription page, click on the ‘Resources’ link in the main menu, then click on the drop-down menu link ‘Subscribe to Newsletters.’

    You can choose the type of newsletter you would like to subscribe to and you can subscribe to as many newsletters as you like.

     

    All newsletters are sent by email to your registered email address. You will receive one email from us to validate your email address.

     

    The newsletters include texts links back to new content published in Workplace English Training E-Platform.

     

    The aim of these newsletters is to encourage users to return to the site more frequently.
