Workplace English Training E-Platform was launched in 2005 by the same team that published “The Language Key” printed magazine between 1994 and 2005. The same management team has been in place since 1994.

The E-Platform

Workplace English Training E-Platform is an interactive online training resource for non-native speakers of English who want to develop and improve their business English skills. The E-Platform provides continuous yet flexible learning at any time from any location.

The E-Platform is available by corporate and individual subscription. With a corporate subscription, all company staff within a given location can access the resources of the site. Individual teacher subscriptions and teaching company subscriptions are also available giving access to both the students’ and teachers’ areas of the site.

Corporate Intranet Version of the E-Platform

An intranet version of the E-Platform is available for corporate clients. This version includes the whole Learning Centre, 54 volumes of Workplace English Training E-Magazine, Job-Specific Learning Maps and The Language Key Magazine archive.

The main advantages of installing the Intranet Version on a company’s intranet server are:

• Fast loading of pages and content
• No login

Clients can receive on-demand staff usage statistics for any online usage; however, they will need to maintain their own usage statistics for any intranet access.

Content

Workplace English Training E-Platform contains 15 years’ worth of archived and newly-added content accessible through a content management system. Content can be accessed directly from the Learning Centre. Content can also be quickly found through the keyword search or the content database. In summary, the site includes:
