The US government has said recently that it believes China’s currency should be stronger in order to spread China’s economic growth out to the rest of the world.

As China increases its foreign exchange reserves, calls are coming from inside the US for China to consider the rate at which it holds its currency.

China, for its part, denies keeping down the value of its currency, despite the obvious benefits to its local manufacturers.

Meanwhile, the US/China trade deficit continues to increase.
